Look and feel

Logo, fonts, colours, header and footer.

Appearance controls how the storefront looks without touching a stylesheet. Every change is saved as a draft first, so you can experiment on a live store without customers seeing half-finished work.

Draft, publish, discard, restore

ActionWhat it does
SaveKeeps your changes as a draft. The live store is unchanged.
PublishMakes the draft live.
DiscardThrows the draft away and goes back to what is published.
RestoreBrings back the previously published version — the undo for a bad publish.

Work in drafts and publish once. The temptation is to publish after each tweak; the result is customers watching your store change under them for an hour.

Logo and colours

Six colours drive the whole theme:

InkBody text and headings
CTAButtons — Add to cart, Checkout
AccentHighlights, badges, links
BackgroundThe page
Header backgroundThe bar at the top
Footer backgroundThe block at the bottom

Check contrast before publishing. A pale CTA on a pale background looks tasteful on your monitor and is invisible on a phone in daylight. The Add to cart button is the one that has to be obvious even when the rest is subtle.

Fonts

Body and heading typefaces are chosen separately, from: Inter, Poppins, Montserrat, Roboto, Work Sans, DM Sans, Nunito Sans, Playfair Display, Lora, Merriweather, Fraunces and Space Grotesk.

A common pairing is a serif for headings (Playfair Display, Lora, Fraunces) with a sans for body (Inter, DM Sans, Work Sans). Using the same face for both is also fine, and safer.

StyleBest for
Inline navThe default. Logo left, menu beside it.
Centered logoFashion and lifestyle, where the brand leads.
Search firstLarge catalogs, where people arrive knowing what they want.
MinimalMenu tucked into a drawer. Very few products, or a strong visual home page.

The header can be sticky or static, and you can add an announcement bar above it for a sale or a shipping cut-off.

Columns gives you your own link groups; Centered is a minimal single block.

Product cards

MinimalBorderless, image-led

You also choose the image aspect ratio and how densely the grid packs. Pick a ratio and then shoot or crop all your product photos to it — mixed ratios are the single most common reason a catalog page looks amateur.

Corners and buttons

Corner radius and button shape — rounded, sharp or pill — are applied consistently everywhere, so the store looks designed rather than assembled.

Social links

Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube appear in the footer. Leave one blank and it is simply not shown.
